Terms of Service
Last updated 7/27/2026.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Gissip ("Gissip", "we", "us"). By creating an account, accessing, or using Gissip you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Gissip.
1. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Gissip. You are responsible for your account, the security of your credentials, and everything that happens under it.
2. Your content, your responsibility
You keep ownership of the posts, photos, videos, comments, messages, listings and any other content you upload or share on Gissip ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You created it yourself, or you have all the rights, licenses, consents and permissions necessary to share it on Gissip and to grant the licenses below.
- Your Content does not infringe or violate the copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy or any other rights of any third party.
- Your Content does not contain material you do not have written permission from the rights holder to use — including songs, film or TV clips, artwork, logos, photographs, or the likeness of another person.
- You are solely responsible for Your Content and for any legal claims, damages or liabilities arising from it.
You grant Gissip a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting/thumbnails), and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting the Gissip service. This license ends when you delete Your Content, except for copies already shared with others or retained for legal/backup purposes for a reasonable period.
3. What you must not do
- Upload material that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, trade secret, right of publicity or right of privacy.
- Post content that violates our anti-bullying policy or applicable law.
- Sell or link to prohibited items.
- Misuse the Gissip platform (scraping, spamming, reverse-engineering, circumventing rate limits, etc.).
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with them.
4. Copyright & DMCA safe-harbor
Gissip acts as an online service provider and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and comparable laws in other jurisdictions. We remove content that is properly reported as infringing and terminate accounts of repeat infringers. Full instructions for submitting a notice or counter-notice are in our Copyright / DMCA policy.
5. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Gissip, its owners, employees and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damages, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) Your Content, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property, publicity or privacy right.
6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Gissip is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gissip is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for user-to-user disputes, including copyright claims arising from Your Content.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Gissip at any time if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or create legal risk for Gissip or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, licenses granted, indemnification, disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms as Gissip evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in-app before they take effect.
